Companion Animal Chiropractic Care
Dr. Pedersen is a licensed doctor certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy (CVSMT), and fellow of the College of Animal Chiropractors (FCoAC).
Oftentimes, through day-to-day activities, joints stop moving the way that they should. This can manifest in back and neck pain, poor attitude and uneven gait. This is because improperly moving joints can create abnormal pressure and irritation on the nerves and soft tissues they are in contact with, resulting in a restricted range of motion and sometimes lameness. If left uncorrected these restrictions can lead to chronic stiffness and pain.
Contrary to some people’s belief, Chiropractic is not replacing a “bone out of place” or putting a bone “back in place” but rather using a specific high velocity, low amplitude thrust to restore a joint’s natural range of motion.
Motion Veterinary Chiropractic Services
Dr. Pedersen is passionate about helping animals achieve their maximum health potential, whether they are a well-loved pet, or a working animal. By assessing and detecting where motion is restricted, she then uses manual manipulations, known as adjustments, to restore proper motion. Through short controlled thrusts in specific directions, chiropractic adjustments help restore normal motion and nerve function in the spine and limbs.
Regular chiropractic adjustments reduce pain, improve mobility and allow the nervous system and body to function optimally by restoring equilibrium to the animal’s body. This in turn prevents injuries and improves overall health and well-being.
